The O' Woof Woof is a mixed media installation that explores consumerism as the American Dream and the farce of the two. It consists of a sculptural element, original designed tickets, and the performance of a raffle that never happens. "Selling wolf tickets" is from Southern Black vernacular, referring to someone who making grand and threatening proclamations, none of which coming to fruition. Combining the aesthetics of 1950's campaigns with classic carnival sideshows, I created a booth for a raffle in which no one wins and raffle tickets offering a 1st prize of "all you were ever promised". These "wolf tickets" were sold at the opening and throughout the duration of the exhibition although they clearly state "good luck you won't win".
